UGCut is a video editor that works entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your videos, audio, transcripts, or personal data. We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or trackers. There are no accounts.
Your videos, photos and audio stay on your device. Editing, rendering, and export happen locally. Files you import are copied into the app's private storage on your device and never uploaded anywhere by us.
Speech recognition (auto-captions) runs fully on your device using an on-device model. Your audio is never sent to us or to any server for transcription. The recognition model (~600 MB) is downloaded once from a model-hosting service; that download does not include any of your data.
Caption correction (brand-name fixes, capitalization) also runs on-device using a built-in dictionary.
Premium subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details. Your subscription status is verified on-device via Apple's StoreKit. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple ID settings.
Each permission is requested only when you use the corresponding feature, and the app works without any permission you choose not to grant (except the feature that needs it).
We do not run third-party crash reporting. If you have enabled "Share with App Developers" in iOS settings, Apple may share aggregated, anonymized diagnostics with us as part of standard App Store services.
UGCut is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly process their data (we process no personal data at all).
If a future feature ever changes what is processed (for example, an optional cloud-based caption correction), we will update this policy first and clearly mark the feature as optional in the app.
